The spreadsheet is outdated as of Kali patch. I've been quite busy with eve and helping out with EON magazine. I will attempt to get this sorted soon.

MS Office spreadsheet no longer supported. Here is an old version:

Latest Updates: Put in an old version of the excel spreadsheet. Packaged the Open office sheet with the update notes in a zip file. This shoudl prevent Windows Xp, which is retarded, from renaming the .ods file to .zip. Bloody windows XP.

For a full list of updates, see the
update notes.

The art of tanking sentries in low security space is well known to some but a complete mystery to others. How exactly do you tank sentries?

Capacitor rechargers are fine for PvE but for PvP engagements, capacitor boosters offer superior performance for a short time. Or Is it a short time? There are some neat tricks to use with regards capacitor boosters.
Spider Tank

The Spider tank is a logistically difficult multi-ship co-operative setup to pull off, requiring a great deal of practice. It is a form of "concentrated tank" - when the enemy concentrate their fire, you can concentrate repairing. Expanding on the idea from a previous article "The Squadron Effect", this is an idea as to how this group setup may be implemented.

Expanding on ideas in "The Squadron Effect", a realistic implementation of the circular remote tank, where a squad of ships repair each other in a cyclic chain of remote repairing.

In PVP, things are usually a matter of co-ordinating concentrated fire to gank enemies one by one, which removes the ability of anyone in the group to tank effectively. Or does it? Some thoughts on The Squadron Effect and how a squad can keep a tank up.

Command ships, the Tech 2 version of the battelcruiser, were released in the RMR patch. They look set to out-tank the HAC in a fleet tank role by a long shot. This is my breakdown of the Command Ship's abilities.

If you would like to contribute an article relating to tanking to this website, now's your chance. Email ideas and submissions to nyphur@gmail.com and I might put them up and give you credit. General tanking guides won't be accepted as I am working on my own basic guide since I cannot use information from my EON aticle.
There is plenty of room for articles in the fields of frigate-tanking, capital-ship-tanking and the roles of tanking in PvP and if you think of something else, I'll gladly listen to ideas.

Donations of ISK to Nyphur in-game are very welcome, especially as it gives me a reason to keep the spreadsheet and site updated and useful ;).
