Cap Boosters
In today's world of cap recharger IIs and nosferatu, people often forget capacitor boosters as a viable means of keeping your tank alive. Large and bulky to carry, capacitor boost charges are usually a finite resource, limited by your cargo space. They provide vastly superior cap/second compared to rechargers and will use up only a single slot while capacitor rechargers are usually used in multiple slots to get enough capacitor to run a good tank. They will let you tank like a champion for as long as the charges last and then you're dead in the water and in big trouble. Here are some tips and tricks relating to capacitor boosters.
Secure Containers - When PvPing in your home ground, you have the advantage of being able to set up the playing field before an enemy arrives. A commonly used trick is to anchor secure containers in strategically useful places and fill them full of capacitor booster charges. When you're in a tight spot mid-battle, you'll have replacements to hand. A lot of players simply orbit a container of them and snipe enemies near gates.
Industrial refueling ship - An industrial ship (a hauler) can hold hundreds of charges. During empire wars, players often have hauler alts in npc corps sit with them at their gatecamps in empire, ready to drop charges should anyone need them.
Tractor Beam - A lesser known trick that can be handy is to have a jettison can filled with charges and then tractor it with a tractor beam. You can drag it around and keep your cargo hold full. This is particularly handy in difficult missions and high level complexes where insanely high recharge rate is required to run a super tank -- instead, carry this tugboat full of charges around and use a few cap boosters rather than rechargers. You cannot warp with a can tractored and bring it with you, so the industrial will have to actually enter the complex with you.
